“Roots to Wings” is a social startup initiative and running CommunityLearning Centers as education initiative of Earthkids Humanity Foundation. The initiative is exclusively dedicated to provide quality academic support / career guidance / soft skills training to children of defence personnel only. The Foundation has decided to analyze “exact academic support” requirements of children living in remote areas or away from the main cities so that best of the personalized academic support can be provided in the campus itself after school timings. This will not only reduce wastage of time, risk involve in commuting to coaching centers but will also ensure best guidance under monitoring of local authorities and parents. Financial burden also will be minimized, as most of the coaching centers are charging heavy amounts by showing dreams of confirmed admission in IITJEE / NEET etc.

There are number of benefist associated with playing musical instrument. During the teenage where child is passing through tremendous physical / hormonal changes,it is the music which help in enhancing academic skills, Increases I.Q, Improves Memory, helps in developing creative thinking, builds social skills and character, teaches Discipline, relieves Stress and brings sense of achievement. Before commencement of academic session, foundation carry out I-PACE (Interest, Personality, Aptitude, Character traits & Emotional Intelligence) analysis of the child using different psychological / scientific methods like Counseling, Graphology & DMIT (Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test). This is a confidential profiling and shared with the parents only. This report helps parents in knowing /understanding their child in better way.

Workshops on “Parenting Education” keep the parents aware with the latest developments and threats existing around the child in social, online or in virtual world. Roots 2 Wings takes full charge of the education related responsibilities and inspire parents to spend good time with their children. We organize regular parenting education workshops for the parents to improve their parenting style.

Foundation believes that to raise a smart child is team work. Most important members of this team are parents, student and our faculty. We all need to work in coordination and remain connect. The adverse consequences associated with poor communication / coordination among child – parents - teacher had been witnessed.

KAIZEN WAY

Kaizen principle is a Japanese management philosophy. The concept can be explained as a principle of improvements that never stop. According to the Kaizen philosophy, a series of small improvements that are continuously implemented over a long period can lead to a surprisingly improvements.12 hours of weekly regular academic and activities support ensures complete transformation of child into Champion.

It becomes challenging task for the child to handle school studies and competitive preparedness at the same time. This is the dilemma of every student today. School exams and competitive exams are different from one another and need special attentions from class 6th onwards. It is crucial to understand the concepts and learn to apply it to the problems. Competitive exams test aptitude of the child and not the bookish definitions. “Roots to Wings” starts working on this issue silently from class 6th itself.
